“Illuminated Art” is a multimedia light show that presents well-known paintings by Swiss artists in a completely new light. Enormous-sized works by Paul Klee and Ferdinand Hodler flit across the walls and floors of the Maag Halle as if by magic. But that is not all: the streams, mountains, castles, and trees in the paintings also come to life, treating spectators to a spectacular and unforgettable experience.
The animated art gallery impresses art lovers just as much as interested visitors, families, or school classes. This digital light museum can be marveled at in Zürich-West over a period of eight weeks. The symbiosis between analogue and digital art has been created by the artist collective, Projektil, which was also responsible for the Christmas light show, “Illuminarium”, in the inner courtyard of the National Museum and for the installation, “Genesis”, in the church on Stauffacher in central Zurich.
